Personality: Quiet and Morbid

History: Rain and Izanami were born during a time of great sadness within their clan. The Matari were being pursecuted because of their abilities. Her parents were the clan leaders who knew the Raikage on a personal level. The Raikage was the only kage who did not agree with the assassination of the clan. He had informed their parent of the skeem and told them what little chance they had.

Being both honorable and brave, her parents gave both Rain and Izanami to the Raikage for safe keeping and gathered the rest of the villagers on the night that they were all to be assassinated. Their parents used teir abilities to put all of the villagers and themselves to sleep. They knew that they had no way to protecting them all, and could not bare the idea of running away while the rest of the village suffered. Their solution was to save as many lives of their enemies as they could, by sacrificing their clan and themselves.

As the many shinobi arrived on the scene, they found that the whole village wa already dead. The leaders had used a jutsu to put their body to sleep, including their breathing functions. Their home was named “The Valley of the Dead” as their bodies were cremated, so that none of their secrets could be learned. The Raikage took the last survivors of the clan and returned to his village, where the babies were placed in a shelter. Saving the two girls was his way of thanking their parents for what they had done.

At one time, the many bijuu ran free among the land and created chaos in their wake. It was at that time, that the Raikage went to the Matari clan for help. Their parents had stopped the 2-tails from wrecking havoc on Kumogakure and had sealed it in one of the twins. This was a secret that only the Raikage of each generration knew and was kept even from girls as they grew up. Even to this day, only the current Raikage wields the secret.

As orphans, Rain and Izanami grew up on their own. They had few friends and spent the majority of their years alone. However, while growing up in a homeless shelter, they grew very close to a boy who was a year younger than they. The boy was energetic and always ready for action. They spent most of their time together, talking about becoming genin and traveling the world. After a year of playing and laughing, the twins were heartbroken when the boy grew sick. It was an unknown disease that slowly killed him.

Saddened by his death, the girls grew even more distant from the world and spent their time amongst themselves. It was about another year before one of the twins also grew sick from the mysterious disease. Izanami lay in the hospital bed for months befor she passed away. Rain did not cry as she had when her friend had passed. The reaso is unclear but many believe it is because she had just been through it and could not proccess that it was happening again. Rain remained at her side just as she had for the boy.

With Izanami’s passing, Rain continued to grow even more distant from the world and spent her days alone, looking up at the sky. The headmistress of the shelter was very supprised when Rain signed up to learn to become a shinobi. Now at the academy, she was at the age to live by herself in a small apartment within the village. Her arts in Taijutsu helped her reach the top of her class, even though her skills in Ninjitsu seemed to be at a low. She trained every day after school untill she was the best. Even without ninjutsu, she became the rookie of the year when she graduated from the academy.

She still hones her skills and trains every day to perfect her clans secret jutsu. With nothing to go off of, she must work alone with the small help of the Nibi that still resides within her. The bijuu is currently guiding her through her training, for it is very old and holds many secrets. With it’s help, her speed and agility have soared to that of a chuunin. Rain is now ready to start her missions and join a team. Though she has worked alone all of her life, she is willing to give teamwork a try….
