Re: the Coming of many hardships
The sound of a roar flooded his ears, and Yoshimo instantly turned towards the sound, disregarding the ninja in front of him, looking at the large demon that attacked. So this was it. This was the demon that came and attacked before. It was a monstrous creature and he hoped the Jin would be able to do the job. Something as large as that, Yoshimo wouldn't be able to even handle the one of them. They were horrid and ugly creatures, as if their flesh was still decomposing on their rotten bodies. Yoshimo turned around once as he heard the man speak.
"You killed my Raikage?!?!!?"
The veins in Yoshimo's neck began to throb and rage began to over come his whole body. His blood pressure had spiked, and the gurgling sound from his shadows were evidence that he was in a rage. He clenched his fist, and eyed his opponent. If he wanted to defeat him he would have to keep his cool, but this man, he would have to be killed, there was no other answer for that. Yoshimo reached in his pocket and threw a kunai at him, a single kunai, letting it glide through the air towards his opponent.

Re: the Coming of many hardships
Mayakashi saw the kunia come at him, he had a few ideas of what Yoshimo was trying to do.
"Yoshimo Izoto, former advisor of the previous Raikage, now current Raikage. You were away from the village at the time that the demons attacked were you not? You still need more training until you become the suitable kage that this village desperately needs."
He said as he made a single hand sign and made a wall of earth appear a couple of inches infront of him. The earth wall moved foward pretty fast, blocking the kunia, and still going towards Yoshimo. Mayakashi was only going to play the defensive in this fight. He wanted to teach Yoshimo something before he told him the truth and who he was.

Re: the Coming of many hardships
He had been hiding in the village when the attack of the village first started. He had run away from the psychiatric ward, and has been hiding out in Kumo ever since. Kazu wore his black cloak and walked towards the small group that was forming at the center of the village. Kazu had seen what the demons had done to the villagers from their first attack but did nothing. He actually took that time to kill the man and son that had been hiding him. He had not eaten in four days and was starving. Using his unique jutsu, he was now wearing the face of young boy so that that no one would suspect.
Kazu moved with the rest of the villagers out of what remained of the village. They quickly moved to the mountains for shelter and peered down at the village to see what was to come next.

OOC: You're right. I'll edit later.
IC: The kunai had to effect to the earth wall that his opponent had summoned to his defense. He didn't know what type of jutsu he'd be using, but Doton was obvious. He probably figured he would be good at Suiton ninjutsu, and mentally prepared himself for it. The earth wall that took the kunai was still coming for him, so Yoshimo quickly jumped back, grabbing five tagged kunai out of his back pocket. He threw three of them at the wall head on.
Demonstrating what ability he had left in his body, Yoshimo began to backflip several times, before planting his feet on the ground, and using a great amount of strength to jump high in the air, and over the wall. At that point in mid-air, he threw the remaining two kunai at him. The sizzle of the explosive notes and the speed of the kunai would give his opponent the notion that he had minimal time left. Yoshimo landed with one leg bent and the other on the knee, to balance his weight. He didn't stop there by springing back and skidding to a halt, waiting for the notes to detonate in a few seconds time.

"Yoshimo, tell me, how much did you care for the previous Raikage? How well did you know him? How well did you know Sanmaru?"
He said he he changed the tiger hand seal he was maintaining into a boar. At the moment he changed the hand seal, a very dence earth dome quickly surounded Mayakashi. The tagged kunia's would probebly destory the dome, but that would only be work towards Mayakashi's advantage.

"I didn't know the Raikage well, but I knew he was a man that would lay down his life for his village. That is all I need to know about a great individual like him! You'd never amount to what half the Raikage was!"
Yoshimo took one kunai from his pocket and threw it towrads the shinobi once again, only this time he would add a twist to it. He knew the dome wouldn't last to those explosives, and as it crumbled Yoshimo quickly put his hands together as the kunai was still traveling towards his opponent. Focusing on the shadow, and quickly adding chakra to it, Yoshimo shouted.
"Kage Heiki!!!"
The shadow near the kunai quickly multiplied about twenty times, sending all the kunai towards the crumbling dome and his oppponent. He stopped his chakra flow, put his hands at his side and waited for his opponent to move.

Re: the Coming of many hardships
The dome crumbled down towards the ground and it seemed as though Yoshimo's kunia's had hit. The dome was now completly gone and all that was left was the rubble. It seemed as though Mayakashi was stuck underneath it.
"It seems as though I knew him better than you. What if I told you this, he didn't do all this because he cared about the village. He did it because he was bored."
A rocky figure began to amerge from the the ground, a couple of feet away from Yoshimo.

'...did it because he was bored...'
Yoshimo refused to believe that load of bull. Raikage was dedicated to protecting the citizens of his village, and laid down his life to save the village from utter destruction. Yoshimo knew that for a fact. He knew it was the truth, and not a lie. Something in his brain said other-wise though. Thoughts lit in his head like a strobe light, and he began to remember the Raikage. Yoshimo thought that he was just a person that wanted to be alone, and not worried over things. The more he thought about it, the more true those words became. The times when he would just sit in the Kage's office or just roam around the village. He always knew that something was weird about him, and he always wanted to know what it was.
Still though, he couldn't let the words of a stranger affect him so much. He knew that he couldn't get more emotional than he already was. Even though that was proving difficult. His rage began to subside, and doubt began to rush his soul like a broken flood wall. He couldn't stop it, and in his minds eye he could see himself being swallowed by a tremendous amount of doubt. He had snapped himself back to reality, but the sinking feeling covered his body as he slowly turned around to face the stranger.
"Whatever the previous Raikage did, that was his business. Even if your speculations are true, I refuse to believe you untill I meet him again once more. For now, I'll focus on the more significant problems. You, and these dang demons."
It was obvious the stranger was playing defense and didn't want to attack. They'd expelled about the same amount of chakra, and Yoshimo would have to quit fighting for now. He simply looked towards his opponent and mentally prepared himself, waiting for a flinch of a muscle from his opponent.

Re: the Coming of many hardships
Now Yoshimo," said the Rocky figure,"you might just get that chance. You see, Sanmaru, the previous Raikage, is still very much alive. I could tell you where he probebly is, but that would be of no use. He'll return once he finishes his mission. But, if you really want to go talk to him or at least see him, he'll be heading towards Suna. In fact, he should be arriving there pretty soon."
Chips of rock began to fall off of the rocky figure, begining to show Mayakashi's cloak. It started from the tip of his head, and was now down to his waist.
"As for me, well, I'm his brother. My name's Mayakashi, I live up in the mountains. I like to call myself the silent protector of Kumogakure."
Mayakashi looked down towards Yoshimo's feet as a rock slowly began to rise infront of him. Ontop of it was Sanmaru's broken mask. Mayakashi knew that his words were getting to Yoshimo. His plan was going perfectly, he just needed to do a couple of more things before he took his leave.

Re: the Coming of many hardships
Yoshimo listened to him as he began to give him information on the where-abouts of the previous Raikage. He'd have to check that out sometime and visit Sunagakure, but the trip to Suna was a long one, one he didn't want to travel. Yoshimo continued to listen to him even though he didn't like the way this conversation was going. This person, had been watching and living near them the whole time. His stealth was probably thanks to the Raikage since they were brothers at the time. Even though he called himself a 'silent protector', Yoshimo still didn't trust him, and he still didn't want him around anyone in the village.
"Mayakashi, I don't care who you are, or what you think you are, I don't want you watching over my villagers unless you consult with me. I don't know what you are capable of, and if you want that job of the 'silent protector' then you need to register yourself as a ninja first."
Yoshimo stopped talking as the earth began to rumble and the mask that the Raikage always wore was on top of it. Looking at it, Yoshimo wanted to reach out and grab it, but something told him that he should do that. He backed up a bit, letting his feet slide over the ground, causing trail marks in the dirt from his shoes. Yoshimo still would have to deal with him, because he just couldn't go about running around the village, doing what he wanted to do.
"This is your last warning, if you don't comply I'll be forced to kill you as I said before."

Re: the Coming of many hardships
Jin tapped his metal gaurd one more time, and smriked. The two behind him had issues of their own to figure out, but as for Jin, priority one was soon to be compromised, and he wouldn't dare let it happen. He instantly appeared behind the demon, a large gust of wind following him, causing a trail of dust, and distrubance in the area where he previously was. The axe seemed as if it was going to reach its target within milliseconds, but just as Jin appeared a pair of kunai countered the axe's path, pushing it's momentum downward sending a large pile of dirt into the air, scattering in a dome like shape. The weapons hilt had a third kunai placed in the hilt, holding it in place. The chakra string slowly disappeared as the demon began to turn around. Jin slowly raised his head, revealing his face underneath his hat. With a large, arrogant smile Jin's eyes began to grow red. The red energy began to pour out of Jin's eyes, as if it was a dense gas. Jin's hands flicked outward, a sign that the real monster behind the man was soon to be seen.
He raised his hands paralelle with the ground, and yelled, " I am the hell hound! I am the unforgiven! I am the unloved! I am the anger in all men's hearts! I am the executioner! I am the wielder of wrath! But He has chewed my wings to make me tame, AMEN!"
And with that said, Jin quickly formed a rectangle with this hands and commaned his Cromewell levels to unlock, " Releasing control art restriction systems, levels 4, 3, 2, 1...Approval of situation B recognized. All releases remain lifted until the enemy has been rendered silenced. Well, demon, it's time..."
Strangely enough, a large image of a weighted balance appeared behind Jin, and quickly became unbalanced. The weighted side suddently disappeared, and soon after the whole image followed suit. Jin allowed his hands to relax, and fall by his hips as he drew in a breath. His body suddently became completely limp besides his face which had a tense, and arrogant smile across it. Then, in an amazing display of entire joy, Jin started to laugh, so hard that is caused him to bend backwards. His arms arched, and twitched for a breif moment, but Jin quickly gained his composure.
Jin smirked, and said in a deep, low tone, "GET READY TO LICK YOUR MASTER'S ASS!"
As soon as Jin finshed making his boasts, his image started to flicker, much like an old picture film that had ran off the reel. The image disapaitted, and reappeared 20 meters behind where the demon first threw his weapon. The side that faced Jin's intial posistion finally had found the time to react to what furious assault he had endured. The black and thick liquid that filled the demon's living tissue shell started to squirt everywhere, spraying the area where Jin was just standing. The ground began to sizzle, the black liquid eating through the dirt and minerals beneath it. As for the other side, it remained partially intact. The meaty tissue showed signs of cuts, and brusing. Jin turned to his opponent, and asked, "Why come...why show your self to this plane?"

"Register as a ninja? Well, Yoshimo, there's only one problem with that. I don't like being marked down as a ninja, I don't like being ordered around, I don't like belonging to one sole area, and I don't like you. Also, you're probebly underestimating me right now and think that Sanmaru is to thank for me secretcy and stealth. Well, just to clear things up, Sanmaru doesn't even know I exist, and I would like to keep it that way if you don't mind."
Mayakashi's body was now back to normal. He stood there, staring at Yoshimo, letting the wind blow against his cloak.
"But, I think as Raikage, you could think of some sort of "proposal" for me?"

"We all have to abide by rules we don't like. Just because you don't like being classed as a ninja doesn't mean you can do whatever you want. If you want to live to be the 'silent protector of Kumogakure' then you'd better get to know me a bit more. If I find Sanmaru, I'm going to tell him about you. Thanks for that bit of info."
The wind blew across the two of them, debris from the destruction blew around them. It was almost like a draw, one opponent waiting to react quicker than the other. Yoshimo would keep his head on his shoulders and not move a muscle, but he couldn't just let Mayakashi go doing whatever he wanted to do. It was either follow the rules of Sandaime Raikage, or be killed. They didn't need anymore threats than the one Jin was dealing with now. Yoshimo listened to his words as they crept out of his hood.
"A proposal? What do you suggest?"
He didn't want to kill him, he'd had more important things to do, and he needed to save all his energy to save the civilans of the village. Maybe a proposal could be in order, but it still made Yoshimo feel uneasy. He didn't want to bargain with him. He only wanted him to leave or die. He hoped that the proposal was something he could agree on.

"Hmmm... Well, since you're the Raikage, I think it'll be best if you thought of the proposal. And just a heads up, you better think of one before time runs out."
He began to walk back and forth, looking down at the floor. It was obvious that he didn't care much or was even paying that much attention to the fight. He just wanted to finish this little "chat" they were having and be on his way.
8... 7... 6... 5...
He was counting down the seconds in his head, just waiting for the proposal.

((OOC: I think you can, Razor_Shinobi, I'm not completly sure about joining in Yoshimo and L's battle or Jin and the Demon's battle, however why not help me and Munashii and Rain?))
Lelia watched for a second as Jin attacked the attacker. She looked back and noticed that the villagers were almost to complete safety. However, they couldnt' be left alone.
However, just as she cracked open her mouth to get her comrades' attention, she overheard the mysterious man confronting Yoshimo say something about Zero not really dead and how he only did what he did because he was bored. She was astonished. How could a major leader, Raikage at that, just up and leave because he was bored? For a moment, she thought that was some joke or lie or something. But then again, her thoughts reminded her she didn't really know much about Zero other than their meeting earlier. Boy this was a day. And, as the confrontation continued, it turned out that this man was Zero's brother? Confusing. Utterly confusing....
Lelia shook her head and focused on what she was responsible for.
"Sanshain, Munashii, and...uhm, sorry, girl," she gestured to Rain, "I'm not too sure on your name, however, all of you come with me. We can't leave the villagers alone. That demon may not be the only one and we need to protect the villagers at all costs!" she turned and looked at them. Snapping twice for Sanshain to get the order straight as she raced after the villagers at a quick pace. Her katana in hand still as she rusehd around them to lead them up the mountain to defend from front attacks. Hoping Munashii and Rain would follow and protect the sides and back with her. "Sanshain," she ordered the bear sized rotweiler. "Take the eastern side." The dog yelped an alright as he raised to his side. ((I'm guessing that's the right side basically)) His nose and ears and eyes alert as he kept up easily and almost seemed to herd the villagers as they climbed over the slight hills leading up.

Re: the Coming of many hardships
Rain watched as if deja-vu. The same man that had attacked before had returned. Rain followed Lelia up the mountain towards the villagers. It was a smart plan to gather them there. It would be hard to attack with the rocks and mountain between the villagers and demons. She thought about staying and helping to kill the man, but decided that it might be best to stay out of sight. Even while she left the field, she planned on watching the fight. Once united with the villagers, Rain sat down and made a few handsigns. She opened her eyes as a single dot formed within the center of each. As if like water, two riples formed within her iris'. As the formation was complete, a body moved from the pile that Yoshimo had carried. The body, with missing limbs, crawled just in position so tha it could see the fight that was taking place between Jin and the attacker. The once dead body beamed at them, only watching from the shadows, with the same eyes as Rain. Even if the body was seen or found, they would not be able to tie it to her.

Re: the Coming of many hardships
Kazu moved to the back of the group of villagers and away from the large dog. If it got his scent, he might smell the blood on his breath and that he was not from the village. Still shrouded in his black hooded cloak, he moved between the many people and stood, starring at Sanshain.
"I have never tried a dog before..." A strange gergling sound then came from his stomach. "Don't worry mommy... we will eat soon..."
Kazu then started to hum to himself and sway from side to side.

Re: the Coming of many hardships
Yoshimo had to give in, it'd be best for the village and for the shinobi. They did need as many people with abilites as they could, but Yoshimo didn't like the fact of giving in. He had to though, because the lives of the villagers were above the fact that he had to bargain with this shinobi. He sighed, taking a deep breath before speaking.
"You can do whatever you'd like, as long as you don't harm my villagers, my shinobi, the village itself. I'll meet you at Unraikyo once a month to check up on what you've been doing."
That's all he could offer, the lowest he could go. He wouldn't stoop any further for Mayakashi, even though he'd stooped prettly low aready. What kind of Kage ends up bargaining?
'Kuso!', he though to himself, wondering if he'd just made a grave mistake in the proposal.

Re: the Coming of many hardships
Munashii followed Lelia and the girl, knowing that the battle going on was well out of his league, even if he had been at full strength. And he was far from full strength. He wasn't even sure if he could defend the villagers if more demons showed up. He would try his hardest to fight, but now that he was tiring...
Ignoring the nagging feeling in him that told him to stop and rest, he pushed on, keeping his sense open for any sign of danger. The scent of blood was everywhere, as to be expected. He stayed near the back to protect the rear and to make sure they were not being followed by anyone or anything with ill-intent.
Munashii couldn't shake the feeling that there was someone nearby who did not belong. He kept looking around, but couldn't see anything to support his gut feeling. Maybe someone was hiding in the mass of people that were escaping the conflict between the demon and the man Yoshimo-sensei had brought. In his weakened state, Munashii doubted he could find them unless they revealed themselves. If there was anyone there to begin with. He was tired. The shock of the attack and the loss of his mother may be making him see enemies where there was none.
However, there was no harm in being prepared.
Catching up to Lelia, he muttered, "I can't be sure, but an enemy may be among us. Keep your eye on the villagers".

Re: the Coming of many hardships
Lelia looked back at the villagers, wondering if Munashii was right. “You think?” She looked at the mass that they lead and defended. There was a high possibility of easy hidden. She twisted and walked backwards for a moment, seeming as if she was just checking up, her silvery-brown eyes trailing across every villager. She wasn’t accustomed to know every one or even what most wore because she was too herself for the past four years of her and her little brother living here. So, that left a weakness in her physical viewing.
“Hm...” she hummed as her eyes narrowed and she looked to Sanshain. “I have an idea...” She snapped twice, getting the attention of the Rottweiler. Briskly, the large canine beast caught up to her. “Sanshain,” she ordered clearly. “Round the middle, the rest of us can triangulate the area. Help any wavering.” The dog yelped an agreeance and turned around. Walking through the crowd almost too easily as he picked up a child to his back. The child squealed with surprise and giggles of fun as he rode the large dog like a horse. Sanshain did his best to ignore the tugging and pulling of his hair and ears.
Coming to the middlish area, he noticed a boy wavering in step. Just the people his Master’s sister wanted him to watch out for and help. A purrish, happy growl escaped his lips warmly as he came up and walked by the side of the man. Attempting to help him balance. However, a scent entered his nose. Making the dog very confused. It smelled of blood.
Sniffing the air highly, he wondered where it was coming from. His mind seemed utterly lost as he sniffed and it seemed to be coming from the BOY”S mouth. Sanshain’s large head tipped as he grunted a confused grunt. Big, dark eyes looking up at the boy.
Lelia turned around to hop over a large rock that she stopped and shoved out of the way for the path of the villagers. Her ears pricked and listening for any sign of Sanshain finding anything out of the ordinary. HE was accustomed to the scents of the village and the villagers, he was like her extra strength. Especially in this situation.
Hearing that confused grunt, she turned and looked. Narrowing her eyes as Sanshain was staring at the boy that wavered in step.
“Munashi,” she stated without taking her eyes off the boy. “I’m going to go ‘lend a hand’.” Her steps took her straight towards the target at a casual pace. Her silvery brown eyes being a directive to where she was going to ‘lend a hand’ if Munashii had caught. “Take lead, will you?”
Reaching the boy, her smile was back and kind as she walked backwards infront of him. “Sir, are you alright?” she asked. Her eyes tracing and tracking any movement of the body. She was perfectly capable of understanding body language, one of her strengths she used just in case. If Sanshain was confused about him, something had to be up.

Munashii watched quietly as Lelia gave the dog instructions. Still on the lookout for enemies without, he kept an eye open for any enemies within.
When Lelia turned and narrowed her eyes, he too turned to see what see was looking at and beheld the boy. She went over to him to 'lend a hand', and Munashii nodded in understanding. His body tensed in anticipation as she got closer to the young boy. He had sincerly hoped that he had been wrong about his hunch. They had enough problems to deal with without having to worry about attacks coming from within the mass of villagers.
Getting ready, Munashii took point, all the while keeping his eye on what was unfolding with Lelia and the boy.

Re: the Coming of many hardships
His eyes grew big as the large animal approached him. He had been noticed by the animal and was now being confronted by a young girl that he did not know. As Lelia began to speak, Kazu croutched down and started to cry to himself. Within his muffled sobs came his voice that lingered like a mad man. "I am sorry mommy... don't be mad at me..."
He continued to cry to himself as he rocked back and forth on the ground. While he was worried that he had been found out, nothing mattered when "mommy was mad at him". His childish cries soon became strange and soon turned into histarical laughter. While he laughed, a thick mist began to form around the villagers and himself.
"Hush little baby don't say word.... mamma's gonna buy you mocking bird.... And if that mocking bird don't sing... mamma's gonna buy you a diamond ring..." The words rolled off his lips and sent chills into the surrounding villagers.

Re: the Coming of many hardships
Shakren went wide eyed at the man he knew this man... He then cried out in horror as his revalation occured he then smiled and cackled as he knew it was his time. He was cut down his body seperating in two after the cut blood shooting out as black as night.
Shakran's last words was "Its time for me to return home." Shakrens body then bulged up and slowly began to swelll and grow a intense rumbling occuring. Shakrens body then burts open but instead of anything dangerous flowers flew into the sky and slowly drifted to the village. The flowers were cherry blossoms normal and regular blossoms.
A last word was heard in the area "Good job humans"
A man stood at the outskirts of the village watching he then smiled and turned around. He then fell to the ground nothing there but a black cloak. This was the last attack on Kumogakure they had passed the test of shakren and they still survived. These humans were a great well persistant and rescoursful pack.

Re: the Coming of many hardships
Jin smirked, and placed his hand over the hilt of his undrawn blade. The wind that he had caused to stir blew by him once again, and lowered his hat back over his face. He slowly started to walk away from the small area and back to the Raikage, seeing if he needed anything other service. Jin felt the same cold chill he always did when his chakra flow slowed down, causing his blood pressure, and pulse to fall as well.
He didn't know what to think of what the demon had done, but as long as he was gone, and the balance was maintained, he didn't care. He took out his pipe as he slowly paced back to the kage's posistion. He had lied to himself, saying he would quit, but it helped to calm him down after a fight had gone "too short". He smirked, and placed the metal tip in his mouth, lighting the mixture of tabacco and other substances. He took a deep breath in and held the smoke into his mouth, some of it crept down his throat to his lungs, but not enough to harm any soft tissue. He slowly blew out, and tried to think about the fight, and why it was so easy to defeat a demon that had done this much damage. Perhaps the villages were growing weak, maybe the leadership should have been more prepared, but Jin thought it was something else. He had met the Raikage, a man that seemed to be fearful of those who seemed to be more powerfuk, yet with his skill he could challange most. Jin mumbled to himself, "Humble..."
Jin shook the random thoughts out of his head, and continued to contemplate his next move. He didn't like to see the "innocent" suffer. Even though none of them had been passed by his judgement, he still felt that none of them shoud be condemmed, just yet. He walked by a group of people huddling together for warmth. He looked to the sky, which had become grey, and riddled with clouds. Jin, again, lost himself in a memory, and before he realized it, he was next to the Raikage's posistion. He turned the pipe upside down, and patted out the material inside of it until the golden metal could be seen inside. He tucked it away, and approached the village's leader.
"Mission Accomplished, though I didn't find out why he was here, rather than he was persuing Drac... much like the ones that trouble our village."
ooc: You two genin, you're both quite skilled, why haven't I seen you on the CB? If you can make it, I'd love to chat with the both of you.^^
