I have been speaking with Yoshimo about having the site use a money factor, and he believes it is a good idea. Let me explain how this would work....

A new member is allowed to make a max of 1 character. Each character level, (Genin - Kage/S-Rank) will have a limit on how many jutsu that they can make. For instance.... a genin can have only 10 jutsu. Each member will start out with 5,000 Ryo(dollars) that they can use to eaither spend on creating new jutsu(so now a genin could spend money and have 100 jutsu instead of 10 if they had enough money) or to create a new character. And just like in the real world and on naruto, an organization will also require money to be created and run.

An auction would also be created where people can sell their created items and jutsu learning scrolls for money. This also makes it so that if someone is going to teach someone else a jutsu, it becomes more personal because the student does not have to go out and spend money... the teacher is willing to teach the jutsu to them, without a fee. People can then choose to charge money to teach several people jutsu that they know.

To obtain money, people will have to complete missions or collect a bounty that is on someone's head. Each village will have it's own bank where the Kage is the only one who can withdraw and deposit money. These banks can be raided or stolen from by other villages or people, but requires to be RP's out in the roleplay section of the village.

All of this can be further explained in the templates that i will make.

The purpose of this is to give our RPing, a more lifelike feel. It also helps to limit people from making a thousand jutsu, because if they do not have enough money for a hundred jutsu, then they cannot make a hundred jutsu. This will also do the sam ething with character creation, so that we do not have a thousand character running around and only 20 people controling them. Not only that, but it will require organizations to have to go out and make money to keep themselves going, like the Akatsuki have to do in the Anime. As for villages.... this will allow the Kage of each village to assign an ALREADY CREATED mission, to one or many ninja in order to gain money, just liek in the anime.

All of this would take place for anything created after the money system is created. Meaning, if you already have 100 jutsu created, you are not charged for those. You would only be charged for any jutsu that you make from now on.

I think it is a good idea, but it will need much work, and many aspects will need to be covered.

I said you COULD. Suppose someone wanted to learn one of your jutsu's but you did not just wanna hand it over to them. If you wanted something in return, you COULD charge them for you to teach them. It is just another one of those things that you COULD do. Like on this site, you don't have to do an RP by yourself, but you COULD if you wanted. Some people just might want to, it is as simple as that.

I actually think this could be something worthwhile (after reading your post Mirage). I'd like to help, but I don't think I can get on enough to be of much help, but I think I can offer ideas and maybe some other things people can spend their money on. I'll either PM you or post it in here once I get my ideas written out.

It would help limit non RPing characters and promote serious RPers to join the site instead of people just joining and then never posting... And it does make sense... sort of. And besides, if it doesn't work out, we can always cancel the "program" and just return to normal. So I say we give it shot.

Maybe you've already covered this, but what if someone went to deposit money and lied about how much they had. Are you going to track down all of their posts and see how much they recieved?

The money would be too hard to keep up with.. And wouldnt an admin have to add the Ryo to your character page and add it and then take some away and then add it over and over again everytime you DO something in a RP? Like eat Ramen!?

This is not exactly like a real bank. Each person does not get a bank account. How this will work is like this...

They cannot lie about their money. Everytime someone gets money, i will edit it on the list. The list says who the person is, and how much money they have, and where the money came from (mission names and stuff like that). The only ones who can edit it is an admin.

So when someone goes to submit a new jutsu, the person who is going to approve it, they will then quote the jutsu made and say that they approve.


Then every time we(people in charge of money system) come on, we will look to see if anyone made a new jutsu. We will then deduct it from their money account. If they do not have enough, then we will post that on their jutsu page and unapprove it.

Things that require money are, extra jutsu, items, characters and organizations.

I think its a great move, that will lead to some great RP's. I mean, money is great, and we all live with it, talk about it, and it affects us. I mean, I have a dollar in my pocket right now lol.

Alright, we all know money is the source of what in this world? Power. The more money you have, the more power you have. What if you had to ability to BUY villages, and to BUY like all the weapons in the world without having to lift a finger. (World Domination huh?). It's a great thing, that I know has probably ran through your mind before. Even in the fillers, we have had characters that are all about the money. They do everything for money, and money is top priority. Kakuzu, right? He was so much about money he even referred to Asuma as 35 Million Ryo instead of 'Asuma' once. The idea Mirage have could totally bring RPing up, and bring a system of worth into the site. Here is my idea and how I want it to kind of look.

We make a category called "Bank" or "World Vault". This category will not have any RPing in it, it will be completely OOC posting. In this category we will have all the villages and groups, (Akatsuki, Towa, Konohagakure), as the fourms. In those fourms you will have topics about how much money the village has, and separate topics about how much money each personal character has. You'll all start out with the same amount for fairness. When you make a deposit, in order for the banker (Mirage or anyone she chooses) to approve it, you must post a valid RP (in the form of a link) of you getting the money. When you make a withdrawal you just post a RP so the banker can read how much money you spent and make the changes to your account. I know it sounds like hassle so far, but who said you have to do it everytime you make a deposit or withdrawal? You can do it every week, every two weeks, every month. Plus, most of the time you guys don't even spend money.

This also opens up a window for you guys getting things that you wouldn't normally have in an instant. Say you want a sword, a sword that enhances chakra. How would you get it? With out money, you'd have to post this insanely long RP about how you found it, and got it, all with in RPing rules. If you had money, you could post the item in item creation, and take that money out of your account to get it. It's simple, and it saves the Admins time, because now they don't have to read your horrible RPing. (Jokin)

You can get money doing missions, if you have a sensei, you can convince him to give you money for training, you can get money by protecting the Hokage, you can get money by killing people, you can get money all most by anything. The more money you have, the less physical work you have to do, and I know FOR A FACT, that some of you guys hate to RP really long, and train for things.

I know Mirage might not want everyone with a personal bank account, but that idea is debatable, yet good also. If you hae your own account, then you can borrow money, and give out loans and what not. Also, it could develop economic problems, which would increase RPing also. You can give out loans to people, and if they don't pay you there could be an automatic effect, like you can add add some jutsu.

"I'll give you 1,000,000 Ryo if you go and kill Mirage for me."

With that 1,000,000 you can gain, you could buy jutsu, or you could possibly buy off her characters. If you like one of her characters you can kill it off, and use it, instead of goign through the hassle of making a character just like hers, and getting it approved, and arguing with people.

One thing that would be THE SHIT, would be betting. You could bet on fights, and stuff. Say Mirage goes up against Yoshimaru, you can bet money that Mirage would win, and after the fight, you can collect it.

You could also have character worth. We don't like it when people have 5 characters, so we could make a rule that if you have 5 characters, one of them have to have a worth. If they have a worth, a person could buy that character and kill it, if they don't like it.(Fairly) When you think you don't wanna RP with a character, you can auction its items and jutsu off, and keep that money for the new one you make.The possibilities are endless.

I think that all items would be the same price. Everyone (this would start with new members) would start out with making three custom items that would be looked at and then approved. Then, for the same amount of money, anyone could make another custom item. Now they still have to be reasonable and not go overboard with the items abilities. Even if you have enough money, if a mod believes that there is something wrong with it, they can still NOT approve it, untill the changes are made. It is basicaly the same thing that we do now, but it helps limit it so that people are not making tons of items, characters, jutsu and things like that all at once.

Regular items and jutsu (according to rank) would have the same price, but custom items would vary. Like you wouldn't sell Samehada as the same price as a regular sword. The prices would be made by people, and approved by you guys, so that it is fair. Also, if you created a custom weapon with like steel and stuff, you could sell it by how ever much you want (not an insane price).

Wow... very debatable. But, I did do some thinking the other night and here's what I've got so far. They are all ideas at the moment. You guys can use however you like. I kind of skipped over other ppl's post. So if this has already been mentioned then you just get to see it again!

Pay for:
The first character you make gets x amount of money. Genin can have x amount of jutsus, Chunin x amount, and so forth. You can have up to x amount of items. To create a Clan it costs x amount, and if it belongs to certain village, the kage should also be approve of it (I'll explain later) but if it doesn't belong to a certain village it needs to get its own source of money. (Some clans are richer than others, so how exactly do they get that money?) A new kekkai genkai also costs x amount.

To make more jutus it cost x amount depending on what level the jutsu is, same thing for more items(by the way when I say items I mean the sp weps, summonings, etc). You have to pay x amount for a new character, but they don't get a starting bonus.

There's also the matter of death... If your character dies (and you only have one character) you could very well make another one without having to pay for it. It does make sense. Why be charged to make a new character when your main one that you've worked and RPed with for so long dies?

Oh and other people here can ask a village to give out missions. Kinda of like the whole client thing. They pay x amount for the ninjas to take care. Could be something lame like weeding or something huge like assassinating... idk Yoshimo or something. Along with kages assigning out regular things and stuff like spying on an enemy village, escorting a daimyo, etc.

Promotion. If you get promoted to another rank, you can have a bonus. As that does seem to make some sense...

Bountys. Bountys can be universal, set by a village, or set by individuals.

Weekly/Monthly Pay. Maybe every week or month you get paid x amount for simply being a ninja, higher pay for higher ranks and being online and active more. Pay can be universal, or set by kages. Small percentages/amounts should also be deducted to help support village (More later.). And you can't just do nothing. Your weekly/monthly pay is determined by the kages. So if you don't do much for your village, the kage can just make your pay like 10. Missions would be the best way to make money. The weekly/monthly pay is general just enough to pay for rl things like food/water/clothing/bills/etc. So just sitting out and collectin weekly/monthly pay is going to be pointless for you. And yes, this will mean the kages of the villages will actually have a job.

Villages
Each village isn't just made up of ninjas, they're made up of civilians too, non combatant. This seems to be something you've all forgotten. This is clearly seen in anime/manga. So maybe for every ninja there's x amount of civilians.

A system could be set up where a village with so many people (ninja and civilians combined) have to have so much money or their village is poor and is basically a prime target for getting taken over. If they have just enough they're ok and stable. More than enough, they're prospering and it would be a bad idea to try to take over them unless you have some kind of grand plan. Most of the money comes from taking some money out of a ninja's paycheck (like taxes...). The money is used for the village. Maybe you want to go war. You need funding. Maybe you'd like to add onto your village. You need money to construct it. Maybe you need to recover from a war. Again... money.

And then there are clans. Obviously there are many clans. Some contribute to the village greatly, but maybe some don't. So the village is reliant on some clans to help support them. It works both ways. A powerful clan can influence others and help donate a lot of money to a village. And what's the village gonna do in return? Help them out somehow... maybe supporting the clan's mundane needs and a little higher paycheck? (I'm not really sure how to put this in words... You can tell. But I guess one example would be the Hyuuga Clan. You don't think they got all powerful (and rich) on their own do you?)

Auction
You can sell things you make, like original jutsus, items, seals, etc. excluding characters. It's kinda pointless in making a character just so you can sell it. But you could sell clan/jutsu/item/etc ideas that other people could use to make a character.

This could be done once a month or every two weeks. Would just make it easier on Admins and stuff to keep up with.




Okay, I think that's about all I can explain without getting myself confused as well. Besides, most of this was written when I was half asleep. You guys can build off of it or use it in your own way. It's just an idea. What do you think?

And I as I said before. We can have a trial/testing. If it doesn't turn to be as good as we thought, then we go back to how it is now.

It's not like it's going to permanent just because it's a thought. And if you don't like it, you could contribute as to what you think should be payed for and what shouldn't, as well as a why, seeing as how it is most likely we are going to have one. Don't just sit back and say it's pointless. The site was made for Naruto fans who wanted to RP about it. So express your ideas or thoughts. The site isn't a god that will do what it wants, however it wants. The site is based off of what we, the rpers want, so maybe if you can give a good example as to why not to having one, we won't have one. But if you give a good example, we might.

Then when you rp you are limited to many things and blah blah blah! I was actauly chekcing out one sight, they had a moneyt system working perfectly but had three post, and a bunch of members, they charged to post, and I know it isnt going to happen here. I think it is an awesoem Idea btu im rebel and LIke saying no ^.^ Anywho but after I make my jutsu we can start this system okay

If you don't like money, you don't have to have an account, your money will be automatically input into your village. Whenever you do a mission, all you have to do is tell the Hokage or who ever is your leader that you did a mission successfully, and they will add what you made into the village funds. It's a little bit of work for a better good.

I'd be great if it's up there tomorrow, but I need a huge favor. Can you keep the trial untill January? We go on winter break this week, and I won't be able to get on a computer untill, maybe January, and then I can't check anything. (I'm going to be so f-ing bored).
