Taichi had left the ninja world two years ago, right after his chunin promotion, to try and master his bloodline's secondary trait. This search led him back to his home of Rateco, and then to find his uncle. Kaku, Taichi's uncle, then began training Taichi like Taichi's father and trained his own brother kaku. Taichi was finally close to finishing this training, and the ones that had come along with him were likely starting to get annoyed at this two year leave. He wanted to return to the ninja world, yet he wanted this power more.

As he got ready for what should be the last and most draining and dangerous day of his training, he had a sinking feeling that he might not succeed at this. He got up, got clothes ready and warmed the water that he would wash himself with. After he had stretched and prepped his clothing he washed himself, the water perfectly warm. It soothed his soar muscles and aching bones. He wore his gauntlets as more of casts than defensive measures at this point, as his arms had multiple fractures now.

After washing he brushed and all the other boring and pointless stuff. It was pointless to him because there were only three people maybe that would see him today, and the intense training made him wreak at the end of the day anyway. He went out into the main room of the mostly destroyed building he and the others were staying in to relax one last time before his training was over. He though of good food and getting lost in a crowd in a hidden village. This comforted him, but suddenly something interrupted his peaceful thought.
