There are very few members of this clan still alive. Most of them were killed in a raid of the whirlpool long ago. Two of them, however, lived long enough after that to bear a son, Samsara Serin.

Every single member of this clan is destined to give their life for their village that they are made ninja in, whether or not they still live in that village. Also, the legendary sword Kikuichimonji is passed down from/to clan members in the whirlpool village. Each person is to go and find a spouse, and then have one child. The child will be trained in the skills of the sword, and, in the whirlpool village, the child will after completing training receive the legendary sword. Then the child must choose his/her own way, and the whole cycle repeats.
