- Spoiler:
- Taku breathed a long breathe as he made it to the top of the large mountain. It was cold, so as he exhaled, he could see a large cloud leave his mouth and fill the air. He closed his eyes as he felt the pure energy radiate off of the mountian like nothing else ever could or would. This would be an ideal spot for a sage to fight, though as far as Taku knew, the days of that fighting art were over. What a pitty. Taku would have been able to secure his victories even more often and quickly if he was a sage master. He would have been able to destroy a village at a whim. However, this was beyond him, and it was probably for the best. The blood of a Sookato broiled with the need to find better opponets and defeat them to become stonger. It was for this reason Taku visited the summit now. He had contacted the Kage of the cloud village and offered up a fight for the honor of their villages. It was sure to be spectacular. He glanced around. His opponet was yet to arrive, but Taku opened his jagan eye anyway. He had heard that Izoto was one of the deadliest ninja in the world. He was not going to take to many chances, especialy before the battle even started.
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- Yoshimo received the message that there was someone around to challenge him, and it was at the Kage Summit. He knew that it had to be someone with the raw guts to openly challenge him in a respected, and open place such as the Kage Summit. Yoshimo didn't care regardless, he knew that the Kage Summit was just a large mountain, only to be trodded on by the feet of man.
Making his way up the mountain, Yoshimo's grunts were heard before he was seen. He didn't understand why he should have to travel all the way up this damned mountain just to make it to a fight that would only make him more tired. He didn't want to back down from the challenge though, so if he had to climb a mountain, so be it. He would just have to do it.
Carefull of surprise attacks, Yoshimo quickly poked his head up above the peak and looked at his opponent. Seeing that everything was OK, he continued his final ascent up the mountain, clamboring to stand up on the peak. Some Raikage he was. He could barely make it up a mountain, much less run a whole country. The opponent would probably ask who gave him the title. Yoshimo though, didn't care the slightest what his opponent though.
"I've accepted your challenge by showing up. But before we fight, I must ask, why here? All the way up here? Mountains and shit are a bugger to climb man"
Waiting for a response, Yoshimo scratched the back of his head and yawned, stuffing his free hand in his pocket, and closing his eyes. That was his battle stance. The art of the Lazy Ninja. It couldn't be copied, or mastered.
Not like anyone would want it either.
Taku:
- Spoiler:
- Taku watched as the Kage from the cloud village made the last leg of his trip up the mountain. He seemed to have difficulty on his way up. At first Taku gave a dissapointing glare in his direction. Then he reminded himself that the mind was a much more dangerous weapon then the body. Izoto came to him and stood there lazily and spoke some words that slightly irritated Taku. He ignored it thoguh. Disrespect was not what he did to any except those he deserved it. He had never met a kage who deserved disrespect and this was no different. " I figured it was fitting for our battle. We are both Kage's and so this was the only place I deemed acceptable for a battle such as these. We have roughly a mile of flat ground to battle upon," he said gesturing towards the open space next to him, "Plus this mountainous terrain to add to the difficulty." He smiled. "I picked this spot, becuase this is not only a friendly battle between two men who have the same goal of leading their village in the best way possible, but also as a test for myself. If half the stories I've heard of you are true, I may not walk away from this battle."
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- Yoshimo began to scope the area, looking around at the terrain that he'd have to battle on. This mountain, though great in size there were many more mountains that surrounded the area, and the clounds that lingered below the high peaks signaled that if they fell, it'd be over. There were some old bridges attached from mountain to mountain, some of them with planks of wood, others just two lines of rope that dangled helplessly between mountain to mountain. Who'd ever battle up here?
"Well anyways I presume we get this battle started. It's been a while sine I've tested my abilites, so I'd like to start the battle, after all I was summoned here by you. Ready?"
The look on Yoshimo's face changed from lazy to serious. He quickly patted his body down, feeling where he kept all his nin-tools and equipment. The terrain here was different, and he hoped that he could use it to his advantage. No trees meant no hiding, so he would have to keep his eyes peeled at all times. Yoshimo reached in his pocket and grabbed a kunai. Twirling the kunai around in one hand he smiled.
"I haven't had fun like this in years"
Yoshimo flicked the kunai forward from his poisition, right towards the Sookato. The kunai raced towards him, and Yoshimo smiled waiting for the opponent to react.
Taku:
- Spoiler:
- Taku gave a slight smirk as Izoto said a few choice words of which made little impact on Taku. It was obvious he was stalling for a few minutes to take in the landscape. He only figured it was fair because he had shown up so much earlier than teh Tsuchikage. Then waiting time was over. Izoto made the first move. Taku was glad, he hated making the first move. However, when he did, it was usualy a move like the one Izoto had just pulled. A simple attack to see how the opponet would react. Often it also spurred the opponet into attack mode and grafted them wide open for a stronger attack later in the game. He couldn't help smirking again.
If Taku was correct, the opponet was a deffensive ninja like himself. Only attacking when the time was right, and never sacrificing ones guard for an attack for the risk was too great. Taku had never seen his opponet fight before. He read this all from that one simple manuever. He wouldn't have even thought this if it wasnt his own style, and he could very well be wrong. For the moment it mattered little, but he took careful note of it for as the battle progressed it would play a big part as the deciding factor. For now Taku simply drew one of his black obsidian blades from his back holster. The diamond coated blade knocked the kuani to the side with little effort, and unaffecting Taku's weapon. He held it horizonatly in front of him, level with his nipples.
He planted his foot behind him and took the zenkutsu-dachi stance, granting him balance. He breathed in four count, in through the nose and out through the mouth. This granted him clarity of mind and calm nerves. Izoto would not find him easy prey, regaurdless of what style he used. His Jagan eye was still open so he would be alert of almost any attack that came his way.
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- Yoshimo was very smart in deed. Though he was one never to take filthy pride in himself, Yoshimo knew that his assumptions were right most of the times. He couldn't help it, it was just the way his brain operated. He knew that his opponent would give him a battle stance, and he knew that his opponent wouldn't fight back. His opponent was wating for a challenge, but Yoshimo had already given him one. Yoshimo couldn't help but feel gratitude to whoever had given him such a talent.
Never one to sacrifice the value of anything, Yoshimo threw the kunai for a reason, and that reason was simple. The territory they were on played to his advantage, and the kunai did also. The simplicity of the attack proved its worth in one move. The kunai, like all things in this world, casts shadows, and it was nothing for Yoshimo to simply attach his shadow to the casted one by the kunai. When the Sookato had deflected it, it only put his shadow that much closer to him. The shadow began to continue its way towards the Sookato, less than inches away from impact.
"I assure you, we will have some fun today."

- Spoiler:
- Taku ignored what was said. His Jagan instantly ablaze at the new threat rushing towards him. He had not been able to detect the chakra in the shadow on the shuriken due to the speed of the projectile mixed with what little of it was there. It had slipped under his radar, but now it did not move nearly as fast, nor was it masked as another attack. Taku tossed his sword up into the air and made a few handsigns. As he caught the blade by the hilt, he declared his jutsu and it effect was imediate. "Chakra Blade." His obsidain became ablaze with a blueish aura. The color of pure Sookato chakra. Chakra of the most potent and dangerous kind. It had no element, nor was it ying-yang manipulation. It was something else alltogether. It had properties of plasma, but was also gas like in its existance. It was a peculiar thing and was difficult even for Taku to completly understand. He wield the blade and smirked.
Of course there were two small shadows coming at him, but they were alarmingly close together. It would only take one move. He stabbed his sword into the dirt right in the middle part of both shadows, the gap between them small enough to allow the blade to hit both of them. Taku fueled his chakra into the shadows, destroying them completely, chakra and all. "What is made by chakra can be easily destroyed by chakra," he observed as he did all of this, withdrawing his blade fromt he earth. He brought the chakra he had used for the chakra blade and unwrapped it from its orignal use. He manipualted it masterfully and brought it to his hand, forming a ball in his hand of roughly half a foot in diameter. He held the ball in front of him, palm up. "Chakra Shuriken," he called out, using another, simple jutsu. 5 kunai shaped blasts of chakra burst from the ball, causing it to shrink in size by about an inch. The blasts were all aimed at Yoshimo, spread out to cover more area and increasing the odds of one of them striking, though it wasnt Taku's intention for any of them to find their mark.
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- Yoshimo's shadow returned to him, as it was easily deflected by the abstract chakra from the blade. What type of chakra was it? He'd been asking himself the question and it eluded him to no end. Yoshimo listened and glared at him, not his face, because Yoshimo automatically assumes that someone with that weird type of charka could possibly have a doujutsu, and he didn't want to fall for any eye tricks.
He'd said, "What is made by chakra can be easily destroyed by chakra". Yoshimo assumed that since his own chakra was rejected that chakra from the blade was the chakra destroying it. Since the Kage Mane used more spiritual chakra than it did phyiscal, Yoshimo assumed that it could only affect spiritual chakra, and that the use of his Kage Nui would be ok.
He kept watching, but as soon as he'd got a sure-fire plan, something puzzled him again. The ninja had threw chakra in the shape of shruiken. By simply crouching down, Yoshimo let the shruiken pass overhead, but the fact that he had threw them puzzled him. The chakra must affect spiritual and physical chakra the same. The chakra obviously was destructive, and any ninjutsu would be useless if it was affected by the chakra on the sword. The point here was to dodge the sword.
Yoshimo took out five kunai, each tagged with his explosive notes on the front end, which made them "frag grenades". He threw three of them, not close to him, and neither close to Taku. The notes exploded, making a cloud in between the two, throwing the shrapnel all over the area, but none of it damaged Taku or Yoshimo. The dust lingered on, and when the wind blew, Yoshimo was no where to be found, but the wizzing sound of kunai coming down from over head signaled that he'd jumped.
Taku:
- Spoiler:
- OOC: I would like to state that their is no chakra on the sword. All that chakra now resides in my hand in a ball. Sorry if I did not make that clear enough in my post. Also in my previous post I made a slight error in description. The chakra is not exactly gas like. It is somewhere between gas and liquid, much as slime is something between a liquid and a solid. It is not quite water and not quite steam. Difficult to understand in property but this gives you a good example of what it looks like. I apologize for any confusion that may have occured due to a folly on my part. Now on with the Rping. No need to change your post either, just letting these things be known to ensure we are on the same page.
IC: Taku sheathed his sword after he launched his chakra shuriken at Yoshimo. He had no need for it at the present time. At about that moment, the opponet let loose a frag gernade type weapon. It was used in an evasive way, Yosh was trying to distract him while he took to the air and attacked from above. He could tell all this due to his jagan. He could not see Yoshimo, but his Jagan could sense his chakra no matter where he went. The only way was to surpress ones chakra, and even then, the sligtest leak could tip off the Jagan at Taku's level. What Taku did next, though was fairly simple in princible, was difficult to do under the circumstances.
As soon as the gernade went off, Taku let loose the ball of chakra, allowing it to remain suspended in mid air in front of him. He then drew on the moisture from the air and added his own chakra to it, and created a Water clone in place of his exact position. He regained control of the orb of Sookato chakra in his hand and then used the smoke from Yoshimos manuever to his advantage. Not only did it conceal Yoshimo from him, but also had the oppoite effect. By now the shratnel had all settled. The smoke was just beggining to clear up. He had just enough time to postion himself where Yoshimo had stood before leaping high into the sky. Using his Jagan, Taku keapt track of his opponets postion who was up in the smoke now, and let loose another volley of chakra shuriken, only this time he let loose tewnty instead of only five. They were scatterd in random places, verticaly and horizontaly. They would not be dodged by simply moving duckign as Yosh had doen previously. This time the ball shrank by four inches, leaving him with one more inches, or 5 chakra shuriken, to work with. This part of the battle was almost over.
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!!!!"
While Yohsimo was in mid-air, he was able to create 5 clones infront of him. The five clones had to take about four kunai each, and if they got hit by one of the kunai they would disperse, so that meant they had to block three kunai each, before letting the final one hit them. Yoshimo hoped that they would block them all.
Three out of five clones were able to block the shruiken that they cloud before dispersing, but the two on the left and right sides of him were not able too. They exploded, leaving three kunai coming towards Yoshimo. Yoshimo quickly wipped out a kunai and was able to deflect the remaining shruiken.
Yoshimo was still in mid-air and he had to get away from the ball of chakra quickly. He couldn't use any jutsu, so it would be near impossible to dodge this. Flipping in mid-air, Yoshimo was able to land safely on the ground about a quarter of a mile away from his opponent. That would surely give him time to dodge the blast, but Yoshimo didn't know what type it was, he would have to wait, think, and watch...
Taku:
- Spoiler:
- Taku's thought process flared a mile a minute. His mind raced with options and possible outcomes. When it came to ananlyzing situations, Taku was one of the best. He could read any situation, and he could break down any situation thanks to his Jagan eye. His Jagan even granted him the knowledge of how to defeat almost any jutsu. It was a beautiful gift. He would have to close it soon and give it a rest, but for now he left it open, not wanting to give Yoshimo that advantage quite yet. Hell, Yoshimo probably wouldnt know how big of an oppurtuninty he would get when Taku did give the Jagan a quick rest. Within his hand he still held a small ball of chakra. He had enough for 5 chakra shuriken, but Taku realy saw no use in trying it again, at least not in the way he had.
The many ideas that raced his head would have taken most people ten minutes at least to contemplate. It ran through his head in about an instant. There were many options right now, for it was currently a stalemate, neither realy had the upper hand, except Taku already had chakra out of his body, in his hand, and ready for any jutsu he might choose. Then again, the distance between him and the opponet was substantial. There was nothing he could do for the moment, not form this far away. Of course, who ever said he had to use it to attack. At this point he knew what he should do. He whipped his arm back and flicked his wrist, sending the entire ball of chakra in Yoshimos direction. There was no way it would hit, not Yoshimo, but it would serve as a distraction.
The ball was aimed just to the right of Yoshimo, at a rock formation very close by. When the chakra ball hit, it would cause the rock formation to explode, sending projectiles flying through the air in every direction in a ten meter radius. Taku began running to his right, Yoshimos left, in a semicircle direction. To avoid Taku's supposed, "attack" Yosh would have to travel to his own left. For now Taku was just trying to close the gap. Taku was not a long range fighter, neither was he a long range fighter. He worked best at a distance somewhere in between, a display of how he balanced almost every thing in his life.
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- Yoshimo kept his eyes on the ball as it came rushing towards him. He couldn't jump to early or too late, he would need to time it perfectly. The ball came closer and closer to him, and his brain began time the seconds down untill impact. He couldn't jump to his right, because it seemed that it was going towards the rock formation next to him. He couldn't jump towards the left, because he'd figured his opponent would try to force him to jump that way due to the path of the chakra ball. All he had was up or down, and he couldn't use his ninjutsu to save him from the blast.
But an idea came to his head, and he'd have to use the Kage Bunshin again, as much as he hated the jutsu though.
"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!!!"
Two shadow clones appeared next to Yoshimo and they both looked at each other for a split second and nodded their heads in unison along with the real Yoshimo. Yoshimo jumped into the air along with a clone, and grabbed the real Yoshimo's ankles. The clone on the bottom grabbed the clones ankles, and spun around, releasing Yoshimo and the clone into the air. The clone under the real Yoshimo used his remaining strength to send Yoshimo further in the air. Just as Yoshimo had narrowly escaped the blast, the chakra ball exploded the rock formation, taking the lives of the clone also, leaving Yoshimo falling in mid air.

- Spoiler:
- "Shit" Taku said as he saw Yoshimo's clever way of escaping his technique. He hadn't quite expected that, though he well should have. He was still to far to attack, but then again, maybe Yoshimo was too. Taku decided maybe it was time for another approach. So far, Taku had been taking the offensive, allowing Yoshimo able to dodge his every attack by not counter attacking and anticipating him instead. He had been a fool. Yoshimo was no ordinary ninja. He had been allowing Yoshimo to analyze him.
Taku realized they were very close to the same battle style and probably power level. Taku was sure he had more chakra and stamina, but Yoshimo probably had other strenghts that negated this as an advantage. He mentaly smacked himself for not treating Yoshimo with more respect. He decided to use the gap between them to change the tides of the battle. He would force Yoshimo to come to him. Instead of the examinee, he would become the examiner. Granted he now had an open chance for attack, but the distance would make it a risky manuever and if he failed would be wide open. It was to early in the battle for resorting to such methods. Taku slowed his pace considerably, though continued on his way slowly towards Yoshimo, at this speed it would take him five mintues to reach Yoshimo, and was sure Yoshimo would initiate something before then.
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- Yoshimo had successfully landed by the time Taku had gotten anywhere close to him. What was he up to? His speed wasn't the same. Why would an S-Rank ninja move so slow? He had to be up to something. Yoshimo hopped back once, making the gap between them just a bit bigger. If he took off, or used some sort of technique, Yoshimo would have plenty of time to react to it. Still though, something was weird. Yoshimo put his hands together and calmed himself, tilting his head towards the ground and letting his breath out a bit. He kept his hands in a "prayer" like fashion and began to think quickly, even though it seemed as if he would have lots of time.
First it was the chakra....Then it was the thrown chakra. Why would he want me to dodge all these attacks? One moment he tries to get me to bring out all my defenses, and in the next moment he is trying to force me to think. He isn't trying to cut of my defenses, because if he was, he would attack faster. At the same time though, he isn't trying to cut of my attacks...What kind of shinobi is this? I can't use ninjutsu, but he isn't engaging me in a good taijutsu battle....So that must mean he is assessing my own thought process....He's testing me!!!! He has to be. If he wasn't he would have attacked by now...He is collecting information on how I move. So if he is collecting information on my battle skills that means he is planning to end me in one attack, or a set up attack. Either way when I realize the attack could kill me I will probably have no chance of dodging it....But just what will he do? When he attacks me for real, he will have to use that chakra of his...it only makes sense....Maybe he is trying to weather me down....so I can lose energy to defend my self...hmmm....I should take advantage of this...and keep using the Kage Bunshin, I do have the chakra for it. That will give me the chance to recollect energy...while assessing my opponent at the same time...
Yoshimo snapped out of the trance, and backed up again, only to sit down. He crossed his legs, and opened his eyes to see his opponent. Yoshimo then placed his hands in the "cross" handsign. Three shadow clones appeared next to him, standing up. They alll stood in a line, with Yoshimo at the rear. They would have to be taken out one by one. He would have to fight using the "Shadow Clone" method. The real Yoshimo at the rear placed his hands in the rat handsign, and began to slowly try and calm down, and recollect his strength.
Taku:
- Spoiler:
- Taku smiled and stopped in his tracks. So he has figured out my game, how quaint. He dropped back into a zenkuts stance once again. His smirk lingered as he re drew his obsidian blade, and drew the other one for the first time. He had not special form of any kind of kenjutsu, only the basics, but the way his father had taught him, basics were all he needed. Taku tried his best to master the simple things and not rely to heavily on those of a more complex nature. When it came to basics, Taku was master. He held the blade in his left hand out in front of him, horizontal wiht the blade facing the four Yoshimos. He held the other blade at his waist, also horizontal, but with the blade facign the ground. With a simple spin on the ball of his feet or flick of his wrist he good easily deffend every area. He was not going to let Yoshimo win this small contest in the midst of the bigger battle. He WOULD force him to attack in one way or another.
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- Kenjutsu...
How troublesome. Yoshimo had planned to master kenjutsu one day, but he'd been very lazy with it. Nami had planned to give him the "Shichi Katana no Unraikyo", one day. But Yoshimo had been really lazy with it. He could learn it, after all it was just taijutsu, and he had been lazy in developing his taijutsu. He had the potential to be a taijutsu and ninjutsu master, but it just wasn't for him. He needed it though. It'd help him in battle, and it could save chakra.
The first "Yoshimo" in the front jumped back a little bit, prepping himself for the oncoming attack. The stance looked wierd, and he could have taken that chance to attack, but he didn't want to. He wanted to keep adding information, because he knew the real Yoshimo would benefit from it more, and also the longer he stalled the more chakra the orignial one could draw upon.
"What are you up too..." the first bunshin murmered.
Taku:
- Spoiler:
- Taku steadied his hand and keapt his position, refusing to attack. He could sit here all day if he needed to. He wasn't making a move. He knew that the kage he was facing had patience but so did he. He was also using this stand off time to regather chakra of his own and was almost back to full power. He hadn't used much thus far and wasn't planning on it unless he was forced to. Taku smiled at Yoshimo, taunting him. He tapped his sword on the ground in an obvious manner that said , 'come and play Yosh.' Taku was practicaly daring the opponet to come after him. It was a challenge. Of course Taku knew that the kage was playing it smart, but he was trying to play it off like he was begining to think he was feared. Taku laughed to himself, keeping his fake cocky demeanor on. It was puerly convincing. All the while he keapt his guard up, waiting for a move to be made.
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- It was up to the first clone, and not any of the rest. Solely his decision to fall into the trap or to see what kind of attacks the shinobi would come up with. Either way, if he was defeated, it would only help the original learn more about his opponent. It was only his job to help, and so he decided to take the first move.
He kneeled down, while bringing his hands out, only to put them together in the Rat handsign. The slap of the bunshin's palms echoed about the playing field, and it's shadow began it's move. Instead of going straight toward it's opponent with precision and speed, it quickly looped around to the back of it's self, grabbing several kunai from its pocket and flicking them towards the opponent. The bunshin smartly followed up the attack, racing its shadow inbetween the kunai that were now getting ever closer to Taku.

- Spoiler:
- Taku watched as the opponet put him in a very rough position. Once again, due the Jagan eye, that if that shadow got even close to him, there would be serious problems for him. He could not allow that to happen. He had to enter evasive manuevers of sorts. First he placed both his swords in the ground hilt up, sticking the blade about 3 inches deep into the dirt. He smiled. This of course would seem like a useless geasture, but he was sure it prove effective later on. Next he leapt back and began creating handsigns of his own. "Hidden Mist Technique." THe place was already muggy and the clouds were not very far up from this altitude.
The air was rich with moisture and so the jutsu set in rather quickly. Concealing Taku almost completely from the opponet. Visability would be almost zero for Yoshimo, while Taku could control how dense each portion of the fog would be. Also, he was quite certain that shadows did not exist with in fog, at least usualy they didnt. Yoshimo had truly scared him with those shadows, and he wanted no part in their making. Of course the fog would be gone soon anyway, and when it was, the battle may well be over. Of course it wasnt likely, but it was an oppurtunity. Taku began gathering chakra as he continued to move throughout the fog. It was unlikely Yosh could track him at this moment even if Taku stood still, but there was no being too carefull here.
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- "Kirigakure no Jutsu..."
The middle clone began to look around, and so did the others. Now they had no visibility and no way to attack. The best thing to do was retreat into a circular motion around the original and sound of verbally where they'd seen the opponent, if the opponent decided to attack. There was nothing better to do, and in a few seconds the three Kage Bunshins managed to form a tight circle around the originial one as he focused on his chakra and regaining his stamina.
Yoshimo himself began to think about what the opponent was up to. Using the Kirigakure technique meant two things that Yoshimo could add to his list. Not only did the opponent contain a strange, etheral chakra source, he also contained an affinity for water. The jutsu also proved that he was trying to think, or trying to be stealthy, because most shinobi that use cloaking techniques as the Kirigakure tend to attack once they think their opponent cannot see them. He hadn't done anything yet, from the launch of a technique to the whiz of a kunai or shuriken. Maybe he was trying to regain his stamina, or most plausible, he was trying to figure out Yoshimo. Yoshimo didn't know, his only option was to hope that the clones could give him as much verbal information and get the most out of them. They'd wait for the opponent to attack since their shadows were next to invisible due to the mist blocking the sun light. No attack power meant they had no reason to attack.
And the battle of waiting continued.
Taku:
- Spoiler:
- In a round about way, Taku felt he would regret doing this. His follow up attacks with the hidden mist technique could have some serious effects on the opponet. It could affect him as well, but he had ways around that. Of course Yoshimo had to be willing to sacrifice some pain if he had agreed to this battle. Taku knew he would be able to prevent a death here, that wasn't a problem, but he suddenly felt a twang of guilt at going to this method. It was already done though. There was no turning back now, otherwise he would have done this all for naught. This move would be wasted, and he hated wasting chakra, something that he held dear to his heart, being a Sookato and all. It was one of the virtues that he was glad to have seen in his son.
He could tell the exact locations of Yosh and all his clones thanks to the Jagan eye, but he closed it, cutting off his tracking. It seemed as if he didnt need it at the moment anyway, and it was just slowly sapping his strength. He could have closed it a long time ago it seemed, but he was glad he had stayed safe instead of risking being sorry. He wondered if regualr ninja tools and his shadow were the only way that Yoshimo could attack. Thats all he had seen so far, and when Taku had taken away the shadows, it appeared that Yoshimo went more deffensive than he had before. His current actions told Taku that there wasnt much more to his fighting style. It seemed he had found a weakness. Not that it mattered in this instance anyway.
Taku gathered his chakra to almost every pore in his body, preparign for another ninjutsu technique. It was neccesary to use this technique before usign the follow up attack that he used in conjunction with hidden mist. He had to be very careful or it would wind up btiing him in the ass. It had only happend once before to him, the first time he had tried it. Now he knew better and knew what he had to do to protect himself. Of course it delayed the initial attack, but in this case, it realy wasnt a problem. He finished positioning his chakra, made the required handsigns, and muttered "Chakra Armor." In an instant, his entire body was coated with the charka he had before used as a weapon to enhance his sword and attack Yosh. His chakra was versatile. Attack and deffense. He had sought his whole life for balance in everything, and battle was no exception. He was now very much protected from a lot of things. He began to prepare for his next jutsu, the initial attack.

- Out of all people Yoshimo was actually getting tired of waiting. Usually his laziness would allow him to wait for extended amounts of time, but this was a battle. This was not a waiting game. Yoshimo couldn't wait around all day for the opponent to attack, or wait until they though of some chess like move that could spice the battle up. It was Raikage vs Kazekage, S Rank shinobi, vs S Rank shinobi. This battle should be all the more interesting.
One of the clones around Yoshimo actually got pissed off and took out a tagged kunai. He toyed with it in his hands and twirled it around, letting the other clones take out a kunai along with them. Since there was still four of them around Yoshimo, they all tossed their kunai about five meters ahead of them, letting them stick in the ground before sending the small amount of chakra to remotely activate them.
One of the clones took it upon itself to speak silently.
"I'm fucking tired of waiting this long, I swear of he doesn't move in the next five seconds---"
Another clone responded.
"Our job is to wait, so we can better serve Yoshimo...We cannot make any rash movements or decisions that might allow Yoshimo to be harmed."
"Fuck Yoshimo"
The original had heard it, and chuckled in his inner voice. Such irony coming from something he'd created. The clones began to move in unison, placing one of their hands in the tiger hand sign. The notes sizzled and exploded, and hopefully it would clear away the mist that was in front of them
Taku:
- Spoiler:
- Taku was about to deploy another jutsu, three consecutive, a feat that was difficult for most ninja. Taku was a Sookato though and this was nothing to him. It was why he was the Kazekage. He was by far an elite ninja of the times. It was not a boast. Its just how it was. He had vast chakra reserves which were very difficult to deplete. Even so he was begining to tap into it greatly with the frequency of his moves. He stopped from his jutsu , however, when he began to feel part of the mist recede. Damn him. Taku thought to himself. He stopped his jutsu and focuse his chakra through the mist, keeping it in place. He couldnt afford for it to lift. He cracked his jagan for only an instant and reclosed it, noticeing that whatever had cause the fog to begin lifting was gone. Taku was convinced it had somethign to do with explosive tags, but he could not be sure under any means.
The threat of his fog lifting was gone for now. It would lift but it would be due to his move, not Yoshimos. Now that he was sure his fog would stay where it was, he began a complex series of handsigns, this time tapping into his fire chakra, his other elemnt. He had very rarely used this jutsu. But it was the best bet he had against Yoshimo if his calculations were correct. He poured his fire chakra throughout the cloud of mist, heating it up, causing it to expand and disperse, the elimination of sight was gone now. Taku could see Yoshimo clearly though he was about 20 meters away. "HIdden Steam Technique," he whispered. He had heated the water in the cloud of mist till it was roughly 300 degrees farenheit. It was sure to cause heavy burns on and exposed skin. It was the reason he used his chakra armor first. It would protect him from his own attack. He kneeled down on a single knee and looked at Yoshimo through the gap between his swords that he had placed in the ground earlier. For their time being their purpose was thus. If Yoshimo made the slightest move, it would be easier to tell from this distance becasue he could compare Yoshimos position to the swords as a refference. He grinned. It had been nicely set up, but success was not guarenteed. He waited to find out. If nothing else, he was sure it would get rid of the shadow clones. Or at least three of the four. He was sure of it.
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- Now he was really getting pissed off.
He had to give it to him though, most shinobi would use the mist to hide and probably use it get away from the opponent or probably to prepare for an S Ranked technique.
This shinobi on the other hand, was very very different, he was using the actual technique against him. Heating up the steam that Yoshimo could feel getting hotter and hotter. Not wasting time, Yoshimo quickly reacted to the oncoming technique, which really had no escape. Using all the speed he could muster up, Yoshimo quickly back flipped several times, trying to get out of the technique. His arms began to heat up and burn leaving little burn marks on his face and a some what large on on his right arm. He was going against the Kazekage, and he should have been prepared. Now he was on the disadvantage with the injury and the mist was still in the way. The burn was second degree, and the as the clones "poofed" away from the inside of the mist, he could tell that it was still getting hotter. If Yoshimo hadn't made his way out in time enough, he would have been burned worse. Normal medical chakra would have no effect on the burn that the Kazekage had caused him. Yoshimo would have to wait for the jutsu to disperse before he could do anything.
"Kuso....", Yoshimo muttered, "I'm going to have to leave this burn for now and heal it later. I can't believe I fell for that jutsu like that, I thought I had it planned out correctly...But it seems as if the Kazekage is also smart..."
Yoshimo waited on the edge of the mountain, into the more cooler air, which was some what away from the mist. Luckily the mountain was flat on the top. There were long bridges leading to other mountains, but he would have to go through the mist get to them

Taku:
- Spoiler:
- Taku wasnt even done yet. It seemed that Yosh had no true deffense against the hidden steam technique, which would last roughly five minutes. Taku still had his chakra armor, which would last untill it was destroyed or Taku used it for another attack. His armor had only failed him in a battle once before, and that was a very long time ago. Yoshimo had begun flipping head over heel to speed up an escape from the heated steam. No doubt he would still suffer damage, but Yoshimos manuever made his follow up to his follow up even easier. He would be focused on his flipping and keeping his balance, and would be moving to fast to keep track of Taku. Taku was a person who took advantage of everything, and this was something deffinitely to be taken advantage of.
Taku pushed off of the ground with his feet, using the small distance to increase the power of his push off stride, picking his speed up quickly. In addition as he ran, he sent small waves of chakra through his feet which increased the push off the ground, gathering his speed faster. He ran right up to his swords which were still stuck in the ground. Nothing for him ever served only one purpose. This was their second purpose. He did a front flip as he drew them from the ground, keeping the action fluid and seemingly effortless. He continued to charge straight at Yoshimo who had not yet stopped flipping. he gained on him quickly, pouring his all into closing the gap between them. When Yoshimo stopped flipping over and over, there was only about a five meter gap between them.
As a precaution, Taku quickly opened his Jagan. He skirted to the side and threw his first sword right at Yoshimo's left knee. He pivoted and threw the other, this one aimed directly at his lower back. Neither wound would be fatal if they hit, but would surely be temporarily crippiling. Taku planted his feet, keeping his balance and began to launch into another series of handsigns. He had begun to get into a serious mode with his ninjutsu, and he was not about to stop. The cloud of steam and chakra armor were only the begining. Yoshimo was about to have a lot thrown at him. Taku had concluded that it would take his all to keep up. He was going to attack fierce and fast. He would not be easily over won. His jagan and chakra armor would keep his deffenses up, so he would not be that vulnerable. He had bided his time carefully, and now he was going all out.
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- This Kirigakure was beginning to become a real problem and Yoshimo was surprised that he was caught this much of a problem. The mist was thick, and being up here near these clouds meant that the moisture wouldn't disappate like it would if they were on the ground. It covered the most of the fighting area and there was no way to move around except if one wanted to fall off a mountain. Yoshimo really didn't know what he would do. He would have to plan later on. The Kazekage was smart, and Yoshimo had to acknowlegde that.
He also had to acknowledge the fact that he was losing the battle and that he could die. As much as he didn't want to, there had to be a winner, and the lights weren't looking so bright for Yoshimo now...
He couldn't tell it while flipping through the mist, but Taku was coming after him. The mist was too thick to see through anyway, and now that he'd been coming after him after Yoshimo had stopped meant that it would be deathly hard to react to and move. He couldn't take an attack from a katana. Plus he'd seen him send "that chakra" down the sword before, and it would probably damage the chakra it hit. What would he do???
Yoshimo looked on as Taku orchestrated a very coordinated attack against him, and now was all over him. A katana was coming for his left knee and his lower back. He couldnt' just jump and turn he would have to do something else. Something dangerous, but something that could possibly give him the upperhand in a few moves. He knew what he had to do, and Yoshimo would be risking his life but he had to do it.
The katana were quickly making their way towards him, and Yoshimo forgot about the pain in his arm as he reached for a kunai and bent his legs and jumped back, jumping back off the mountain and into air. He couldn't react that fast and the kunai at his leg was now at his leg, cutting the front of leg, calling for stitches in the front of his leg. The kunai aimed at his back cut his across his chest, sending pain across his face. Yoshimo would have to attend to that, but how would he? He was falling off a cliff and now he was bound to lose. He'd made sure that when he jumped he would fall straight up vertically, and now Taku would be able to see his half-baked plan unfold. Using his good hand, Yoshimo struck the kunai in his hand in the stide of the mountain wall. The sound of metal cutting into earth could be heard as Yoshimo fell against the mountain wall, all the way down under the clouds. He hadn't gone down too far, since they were already high up. Any skilled ninja would literally be able to walk on the air since there was so much moisture up here.
The fact was that Yoshimo was out of sight. He was probably tending to his wounds, and preparing for the worst, but Taku wouldn't know that unless he followed him down there.
Taku:
- Spoiler:
- Taku was instantly surprised. He had thought a lot of different things might happen, but that was not one of them. Jumping off of the side of the mountain. That move just blew Taku away. He recovered quickly though. That was his greatest strong point. Nothing could awe him for very long. He could recover from shock in an instant, and so surprise was something most people had trouble with using to defeat him. He could adapt. Most people had trouble adapting their fighting styles in the middle of an intense battle, but Taku was a balanced person. He could do pretty much whatever he wanted. He was a master in his own rights. a master of balance. Ying and yang. He was the physical entity that illustarted that concept. However in this case of shock and surprise, the tactic he had been planning on using remained the same.
That was if he was correct however.
He couldnt be sure if Yoshimo was on the side of the mountain or if he had just killed himself in an attempt to escape Taku's well coordinated attack. He only needed to crack his Jagan eye again to see that Yoshimo was in fact on the side of the mountain and had not plumeted to his death. Taku was glad. This was a serious fight yes, but by no means did he want the Raikage dead. Such a thing would impose war upon his village, which was much to weak at the moment to take part in such an event. He keapt his Jagan eye wide open. It had been closed and given a rest long enough. It was time to bring it back out and utalize it, especialy since approaching the side of the mountain or going down to Izoto would be particularly dangerous. Yoshimo was in the shadow of the mountain, and he was a master of shadows. This had obviously been Yoshimos plan in the first place.
Taku finally reached the end of the string of handseals he had been performing. It was time to let loose another fairly powerful ninjutsu, "Water Dragon Projectile." Normaly this jutsu took next to zero effort for Taku, but in this instance it was an acceptional feat. He taped into the water supply of one of the many surrounding clouds. Usualy only one dragon was made, but low and behold, Taku went above and beyond the norm. From the initation of the attack, four blue dragon heads could be seeing protruding form the bottom of the cloud. They shot downward, directed by Takus chakra, who was being directed of Yoshimos location by his Jagan eye.
As they shot down, a long cloumn of water followed. Each dragon was coming from a different angle, but all of them were positioned to strike Izoto from a diagonaly upward direction. Taku smiled, there was a good chance that Yoshimo could dodge or block this attack in some manner or another, and if that was the case, It would give Taku plenty of time to intiate another technique. His goal was to keep Yoshimo on his toes, just as he had with the mist. There was no telling just how long one of Taku's combinations would last.
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- The rush of the water coming down towards Yoshimo could be heard from what seemed like a mile away. Though the sound was easy to react to, the large water dragon would be hard to defeat. Yoshimo didn't know what he would do right now. He had to give it to Taku though, he knew what he was doing. He knew what kind of situation he was putting Yoshimo in, and he was giving him more than a hard time. Thinking alone wouldn't suffice for it, and it would take pure action for Yoshimo to make it out of this. Currently he wasn't in the best position to fight, he was hanging off the side of a mountain, holding into a a kunai which was slowly wedging its way out of the scar that it had left in the side of the mountain.
What a situation. He would either have to fall, or try something.
An idea hit him, and Yoshimo realized that he had the chakra to do it. A visual strobe light went off in his head and he began to recollect the events of the battle from the very beginning. It seemed as if the chakra was the point of it, the raw chakra. The chakra that had rejected his shadow was in its purest form. Maybe the opponent could only block the attack if he'd used the raw chakra. Now that Taku had manipulated his chakra into water, Yoshimo could technically use his ninjutsu and survive the attack. He just needed to keep his position, that was all. He didn't really need to move. The medical patches over his cuts needed to heal more before he could move, and if he moved now he would have to do it all over again. He was at the advantage anyways, being on the shady side of the mountain.
Yoshimo's free hand hung to his side, but he was able to bring it up enough to complete the hand signs for the justu. Tiger. Rat. Bird. Horse. Snake. Ram. Rat. All of the hand signs had been done with one hand, and very quickly. He could do them without hand signs, but it would take too long for him to prepare the jutsu. As the water dragon peeked its massive head through the mist, the shadow on the side of the mountain grew dark, and began to bubble completely around Yoshimo into a solid, impenetrable force. His hand took some of the hit from the water dragon, but he would be ok. Yoshimo's wasn't moving. He had the strength of the shaded side of the mountain. The only way he would lose is if the chakra from the water dragon would deteriorate his shadow. He didn't think so.
He hoped it wouldn't. Or he would die and fall off the side of the mountain.
Taku:
- Spoiler:
- Taku was almost one hundred percent positive it was over now.
He didnt realy care as he "sensed" his water dragons being easily turned away by a dome of chakra, which he assumed was comprised of shadow. Yoshimo was a worthwhile opponet, that was for certain, Taku just seemed to have a lot more fight in him. His race was a gentle yet violent kind. Yoshimo almost seemed just gentle, with the task of being a shinobi. His personality confused Taku very much. It was a very complicated system and yet....there was more to it than just that.
Taku sighed as he focuesed on what he was about to do. His control would have to be flawless, for he did not want to kill the Raikage. To Taku, beating someone with out killing them was the greatest of all victories. He looked at his arm as it began to shine with a slight shimmering blue light. He could feel the heat flowing throughout his body. This was the true power of the lead Sookato. Only one person throughout the whole world could posess it at any given time. It was the greatest of gifts and the highest of honors. The purest form of Sookato chakra. The second most lethal weapon he had in his arsenal. Second only to the technique that would take his own life as well. It was, in his eyes, a priceless object. A spiritual entity of everything he hoped to achieve in life. The Black Dragon. The servant of undying power.
The beast, though not realy a beast, began to unwind from his arm as it awakened. It grew tremendously in size. As it unwound from his arm, it took to the sky. In a few short moments it was done. The beast which Taku loved. The essence of his heart. The symbol of his life, past present and future. He gazed at it in a moment of adoration, before comencing his attack. Through some primal link the two shared, as all Sookato who had ever possesed the dragon did, Taku was able to manipulate it with out saying a word. It was his to do his bidding. Whatever he wished, would be done.
The dragon went straight up before sharply turning in a U formation, aiming directly for the ground. As it hit, a rumble ripped through the mountain, and the Dragon dissapeared into the rock below. A large gaping whole was left where it had made its entrance, a good 10 meters away from Taku himself. The dragon wound its way through the mountain, getting ever closer towards the one known as Yoshimo. Nothing of physical being could stop it. Its only enemy was chakra, and even then, the dragon was virtualy unstopable. It was a force comprised from the day chakra itself was created.
The mountain shook more violently as the dragon approached the place where Yoshimo hung off of the side of the mountain. In a sudden burst of rock and dust, It reared its black head exactly where the kunai had been, throwing Yoshimo back away from the mountain. The dragon curved its path to go around Yoshimo rather than hitting him, and punching straight through the shadow barrier. As the dragons body passed the shadow boundary, it surged its own force through the whole thing, killing the chakra with in. This weakened the dragon a considerable amount, but was well worth it as the half dome shape of black collapsed.
Taku was unsure if Yoshimo would be able to react to save himself but, he didnt want to take the chance either way. He dug into his chakra and pulled out another of his ancient techniques. "Reverse chakra armor," he whispered into the night air. It was difficult for Yoshimo was quite a ways away, but he could do it. A glowing wisp of blue chakra began to wrap itself around Yoshimo, starting at his waist, the same way it had when Taku had cloaked himself in the stuff. If Yoshimo had been planning on saving himself, then he would surely fight off Takus chakra and the battle would continue, if not, he would probably give into it anyway. Taku was making a move at saving Yoshimos life jsut in case he had been in danger of falling off the mountain, but Yoshimo had no way of knowing that. He waited for his technique to fully take hold and hoped all would go according to plan

Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- Yoshimo wasn't thinking right, and that was something that was strange for him. Out of all the things he was supposed to be able to do, Yoshimo was supposed to be able to think clearly enough to concentrate during battle, but right now things weren't going so well for his mind.
Taku was surely proving himself to be the stronger ninja in the battle. He was winning, and with this new attack upon Yoshimo the battle would be decided if Yoshimo didn't use his wits. He was good on chakra, but that didn't make any of the matter. He didn't have any jutsu that he could use to save him from the situation. How do you fight an opponent who's chakra is so rare that it shuns away your own? Whether Yoshimo liked it or not, he would have to figure out a way.
Yoshimo could feel the chakra level on the battle field rise to an almost killing intent. If felt as if there was pure terror on the field, and it shook his mind almost. Yoshimo's mind was almost like a factory, and right now they were losing power. That meant it was time to use the back-up emergency, and Yoshimo began to think of every advantage he had. Whatever being summoned, or whatever was out there had to be powerful. That mean it had to take up a lot of chakra and had to be S Ranked. Stalling was the best option, and he would have to try and get his opponent to use as much chakra as he could. The water dragon didn't do much to Yoshimo. His jutsu was able to with stand it. He would be fine from that.
But suddenly, the massive chakra force that was literally rattling his head began to move. He could tell it. It was that powerful. He knew soon enough it would come crashing down on him, and now he know what his opponents doujutsu trick was. He had to be able to see chakra. For him to attack so precisely without being able to know what was going on only meant that he had a trick. That eye of his had to be able to see some sort of energy, maybe physical energy.
Yoshimo waited for impact, knowing that his jutsu would no longer be at his advantage anymore. He cursed himself for having such low-level techniques. All he had was Yoru no Tenshi, and the katana on his back. With his stubborn intelligence, Yoshimo still didn't feel the need to use such jutsu on the battle field. Not only would it be a possible failure, but the loss of chakra from Yoru no Tenshi would be devastating. Anei was his best bet. Yoshimo reached for it.
As soon as his fingers touched the hilt of the katana the massive force burst through the shell. At first, it held strong, but the more the chakra made contact with the jutsu, the more the jutsu wanted to recede away from it. It was almost as like Yoshimo's and Taku's chakra were two ends on a magnet. Yoshimo's own chakra was being pushed away from his. Ignoring Anei, Yoshimo could feel himself being thrashed around by the horrible dragon. Ultimately, he gave up on the jutsu as the dragon forced him off the cliff into mid air. Yoshimo's face went in awe as he fell.
He was going to die...
'Concentrate...'
There was no way he could reach the mountain wall and save himself...
'What..?'
He could feel an odd energy wrapping around his waist...Maybe the final blow...
'It's me Yoshimo..."
He hit rock bottom. A thud. The dust around him seemed to settle quickly at the bottom of the mountain and Yoshimo laid there as if he'd died.
"Get up."
A image appeared in front of him, an old man that Yoshimo was all to familiar with...
"Grandfather, you've taught me horrible techniques. In my life time I have managed one S Rank. IF YOU'D HAVE TAUGHT ME BETTER I WOULDN'T BE DYING!!!"
The old man smiled and laughed at Yoshimo.
"Do you really think I would let you die? You seem to have forgotten about that seal and sword on your back..."
"Anei??? I barely have used that sword, its just a piece of metal..."
"You call your grandfather just a piece of metal??"
The image faded, and Yoshimo could be seen breathing. He laid out on the ground, and his lungs began to move. He was alive nonetheless. Yoshimo turned on his knees and arms, on all fours in intense pain. He could be seen struggling, and his body began to shake. Something was happening to him. His body began to glow, all his wounds turned black. The chakra around his waist began to be pushed away by the stored chakra, freeing himself from its grasp. He glowed in purple light along with his seal and his sword.
"Sofu...I understand.." (grandfather)
His wounds began to close up, and they steamed with smoke as the regenerating cells began to relax from intesne heat and pressure. Yoshimo stood up to his feet, struggling on his way up. His body began to glow an intense purple and his sword mimiced. Yoshimo took off the jounin uniform, as the heat and pressure on his back would require open air. He slipped the hilt of Anei into his belt waist, and withdrew the sword. As if he was teleporting, Yoshimo's image was instantly seen running up the side of the mountain again, towards that dragon, but also towards Taku. He ran quickly and silently, letting the end of his blade drag against the side of the mountain, shaking it and leaving a giant scar in its face. With the on set of night coming, Yoshimo would be just that much harder to spot. He wouldn't be able to use his ninjutsu, but he would be able to hide really well. Yoshimo continued running, faster and faster until he was a blur. He jumped up as he'd made it to the top of the mountain, appearing above Taku.
"DIE!"
Yoshimo released his katana in a downward motion, falling quickly to Taku as to completely sever him in half.
Taku:
- Spoiler:
- Taku grimaced as he realized his reverse attack was pointless and released its hold on Yoshimo. He sensed him stop descending and so assumed he had hit another ledge of some sort on the side of the mountain. It was a mess. Yoshimo was not dead, nor was he defeated. Something in the back of his mind tingled. A surge of uneasiness. It was a feeling that he very rarely got, but when he did, it was something he listened to very well. His fears were confirmed just moments later, He could sense a strong spiritual presence from down below, around the same area Yoshimo was that. Unsure what to expect, he brought his dragon back to him. It circled around behind him, and hovered in wait.
Out of no where, Yoshimo erupted up the side of the mountain and into the darkening sky. He was ablaze of purple, Taku became that much more worried. Yoshimo now brandished a katana, also cloaked in the purple what ever it was. He had to act quick, as he read the situation almost instantly and new that he was done if he didn't move pronto. Instead of performing a whole new jutsu, Taku decided to conserve his chakra, and use some that was already out of his system. He used the chakra that coated either of his arms and wrapped it around both of the swords which were quite a few feet away. At this point Yoshimo launched his katana down, directly at Taku. Taku flicked his finger and both of his own obsidian blades came rushing at him. It was a close call. As the other sword came down in an attempt to sever him, Taku brought his own, which had just arrived in his hands, up into an x formation, stopping Yoshimo's blade in between both of his.
That was not expected.
Yoshimo's sword continued to move downward even after being stopped. it was not a normal blade at all. Taku made an outward sweeping motion with both swords, bringing them to his sides, and sending the other flying through the air, back over the vast mountainous terrain, and away from Yoshimo.
He quickly spun on his heel to face Yoshimo. He wasn't entirely sure what he was going to do now. He had his dragon out, his armor was slightly incomplete now, and he had two swords coated in the lethal chakra which acted like a plasma like substance which could destroy almost anything not of spiritual being. Yet, Yoshimo had bounced back and it seemed as if he was ready for so much more. Taku was pissed. He had seen the end of the battle, but he had been driven off course by the sudden turn of events. An unexpected road block.
He didn't let himself get discouraged though, that would have been the end of him. Instead he found new resolve and began to calculate once again. He had plenty of chakra still. He was a Sookato and as such had unnaturally large chakra reserves. In all he had sacrificed about 48% of his chakra so far. He was in good shape yet. He would have to find a new way to deal with Yoshimo. He would have to try and find what this new power was capable of.
YOshimo:
- Spoiler:
- The torrential force of his seal was upon him. The seal hadn't been used in so long that opening just a crack would release a horrible amount of chakra. So much that Yoshimo and his blade were covered in it. Yoshimo found his muscles and his circulatory and respiratory system working at high levels. He couldn't hold the seal for a long time, and he could have to try and force some of the chakra back into the seal soon, before it would be a complete waste. He was using the seal on top of his own chakra, so he could probably manage for a few minutes until the seal decided to release itself fully.
Yoshimo's face was pure anger and hatred. His brow was wrinkled beyond belief, and the spiritual energy that caroused through the air was nothing but pure terror. This fight was becoming more interesting by the second, and now that Yoshimo was using Anei he could manage to keep up with Taku and with his brilliant attacks. The purple chakra was that of pure regeneration, so it would be able to withstand the chakra from the dragon. Alone, the blade would not be able to fend off the dragon, but that would soon change.
Taking the blade in his right hand, Yoshimo threw it in the air while doing several hand sings. his hands were blurred, not only due to the aura that covered his body, but also due to raw speed. He quickly ended on rat, catching the falling sword which was in his grasp. Yoshimo held it, and began to focus on the pent up chakra that was trying to break free from his back. He focused the chakra into the sword, gathering more and more of the release energy from the seal untill the sword began to tint purple. The pressure from the surging amount of chakra suddenly released, and Yoshimo's sword was quivering with chakra leaving him without an aura. He shouted to Taku.
"You are the first person to be able to see this...I hope you enjoy it....Anei...STRIKE!!!"
The sword began to glow intense purple, a blinding light that seemed to cover the battle field in a quick second. As the light faded away from the sword, leaving a purple tint upon the air, a longer blade was revealed. It seemed to be black, leaving the sharpened part of the katana completely white. This was the first stage of Anei's power with one more to go. Yoshimo didn't think that he would have to use..that jutsu...The blade glowed a purple aura, and suddenly released the aura as Yoshimo was still trying to hold back the chakra that was releasing from his back.
Yoshimo held the sword in his right hand, bringing the back of the blade across his nose in a parallel horizontal motion. The sharpness of the blade could be seen as it refracted against the light. Yoshimo smiled and disappeared, leaving a trail of dust rushing towards Taku. It was a stupid move in essence, trying to get close to that dragon, but Yoshimo knew what he was doing as he quickly made his way to Taku. He moved swiftly, and though no normal ninja would be able to really see him, he knew that Taku could. Yoshimo quickly switched his feet before he met Taku, sliding around to the back of him, swinging his katana around, directed to the underside of his chin, towards his neck. He quickly tried to place his feet around Taku's right foot, but contact would only happen if Yoshimo made contact.
Taku:
- Spoiler:
- Taku didn't know how to react. In essence he was kind of pissed. A seal. They had always left a sour taste in his mouth. Seals were not something that nature provided, and so he had a dislike of them. To him they were a cheap way out, but that was just his opinion. He couldn't really blame Yoshimo for using the seal, and all in all, he received it as a compliment. A ninja like Yoshimo would never use the seal unless he needed it, and so Taku was proud. He did a lot of quick calculations and came up short. There were few options in this type of situation, and so Taku was almost cornered. Almost.
He could barely track Yoshimo with his Jagan, if not for that, he may have been done now. Yoshimo came up behind him and attacked him from the rear. He could easily predict the landing spot of the blade due to the arc of the blade. He knew that the chakra around the sword could cut through his own, so he focused more of his to the spot in his armor where the sword would hit. It was right below his jaw, on his neck. A potentially fatal hit. The sword hit and Taku was forced to the side, he had to switch his footing to keep balanced. By fueling chakra continuously to the spot, he was able to keep the sword at bay, until he quickly spun away and leapt back wards away from Yoshimo.
Taku sighed. This fight was over. He did not want to compete under these circumstances. The battle was taking a direction he did not want it to take, death, the thing he had been trying to avoid for the both of them. He canceled his armor and his dragon returned to his arm. His swords, void of any extra layers of chakra, were sheathed across his back. He looked at Yoshimo with a grim face. "We are done here. I cant compete of a ninja of your level who has the power of a seal backing him up. Well I could, but one of us would surely die. I have no need to kill you, so I shall not pursue that route. Thank you for the most refreshing battle I have had for quite a long time." He gave a quick bow, his eyes never leaving Yoshimo's face. "You have earned my respect Yoshimo, ninja who hides in shadow."
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- Yoshimo felt the pressure of the blade against Taku's chakra armor. What an ingenious idea to use a layer of chakra over your body to protect against attacks. Even though Yoshimo would have sliced his head off, Taku decided to change the density of the chakra armor, makiing it strnger at the point of impact. He'd stopped the blade, and the fight seemed over. Yoshimo was lucky, he didn't want to have to use that seal. If he would have, he would have two weeks of on going pain and suffering while he recovered from the attacks. Yoshimo relaxed his arm, bringing the blade above his head as he put it in his sheath. He muttered something to himself quietly.
"Thank you Anei..."
Yoshimo conintued to listen to Taku as he calmy ended the fight. Neither of them really knew the extent and length of their battle, they'd started technically mid day of yesterday. The night was over, and dawn began to peak its face over the moutains. Since they were so high up, they could see the lit moon and the sun slowly rising up. Yoshimo gave Taku some space as he continued.
"Thank you for the battle also. It has been a while since I have fought that hard. I have earned a lot from you...However, I think you are too great of a shinobi to stick to one village. Please, join us..."

- Spoiler:
- Taku was confused by what Yoshimo had said. "Join us......," he repeated, letting it hand in the air. He looked at Yoshimo with disdain. He slowly picked apart his sentence. "learned a lot from you," that part had no real meaning to the rest. "Too great ...........to stick to one village," that was the key. Missing nin, those were the ones with out village. Not sticking to one village, meant being in more than one, that meant domination. Taku was flabbergasted. He didnt know what to say. He could announce what he thought Yoshimo meant out loud, but that meant risking offending him if he was wrong. He could always just ask what he meant, but that would make him look inept as a ninja, even to his own eyes.
Taku sat there staring into Yoshimo's eyes. He had no clue exactly what he meant. This kind of talk seemed completely out of his character, or maybe Taku had been incorrect when he had read Yoshimo earlier. There had to be some variable he had missed. Nothing caught him off guard, yet here was teetering on the edge of uncertainty and dishonor. He did not know what to say, and in that situation he knew it was better to say nothing. He just sat there and stared at Yoshimo, his gaze sharp.
Yoshimo:
- Spoiler:
- Yoshimo blinked as Taku continued to stare at him. He had no idea what Taku was staring at him, but it felt awkward. Everything that he'd said about the shinobi was true and Yoshimo could hold fact to it. Taku was an amazing individual, and his abilities shouldn't be cooped up in Sunagakure, were he is bound to laws of the land. Taku was a beast, literally, a person with an amazing amount of destructive power at his disposal. Yoshimo could easily see him taking down the strongest tailed beast with Akatsuki. Yoshimo thought it was where he belonged, and even though it was not up to him where Taku could go, Yoshimo felt as though he would be better off in the Akatsuki.
"You should think about it. You have astounding abilities, and excuse me if it sounds like I'm just trying to get you to join by complimenting you, but its true. I have to give credit to where it has been shown."
Yoshimo tuned around, to a long bridge which was connected to another mountain which would safely take him home. He began to walk off, not even giving Taku time to respond. He put his hands in his pockets and walked over to the side off the bridge, gazing at the battle scars in the ground which the battle had caused. He stopped, and the wind blew in front of him. He wasn't stopping to admire the remnants of the battle, but to remember that he could have died here today. It was something heavy to think about.
"Well, I'll be around the world. I'm going to be in Kumogakure soon, and I should either be in Iwagakure, or Sunagakure, I don't really know. That's up to Taichou-san. If you want to join, don't hesitate to find me."
Yoshimo jumped down off the mountain instead of taking the bridge, disappearing under the clouds and off to run arronds.
