Bloodline: Chimera Gene - The Inuzuka clan are born with a genetic mutation that gives them elongated fangs and claws, their eye’s sometimes even exhibite a slit pupil rather than a round one. Kaikou was born with an alteration of this gene that gives him not only the physical traits of his clan but gives him the ability to assimilate the DNA of what he eats into his own makeup. Under normal circumstances, this takes considerable time, as Kaikou has to not only enjest the DNA many times but his body has to learn how to use the new traits (i.e.the brain adjusting to and learning how to use sight the way a blind person would). The Chimera Gene does not create new DNA persay, but rather enhances human DNA with that of creatures with advanced forms of the same triat. For example, having already assimilated canine DNA Kaikou’s natural hearing is substantialy greater than most humans. On the reverse side, the gene will not grow wings, or extra arms, as the human body has no previously existing trait to do so. The only other genetic trait Kaikou has absorbed at this point is the one he was given at a young age by a a group of strangers he has yet to reveal except in his dreams. The group experimented on young Kaikou, implanting him with the genetic traits of a salamander enhancing his natural cellular regeneration and subsequently testing it by inflicting near mortal injuries on him. In response his body completely assimilated the DNA, relying on it to stay alive. This was an extreme case where his bodies subconscious priority to stay alive overcame its natural resistance to the foreign DNA. He has no real control over this yet even years later as he’s unaware of this ability, his mind having blocked out the traumatic event. He only exhibits these traits currently when unconscious after sustaining a substantial wound.

Alignment: Kaikou's young and has yet to really set his true path, but currently he walks down whichever path will lead him to the answers he seeks.

Appearance: Kaikou is slim for his height but deceivingly strong. His hair is a brown color with a golden brown hue to it that turns into a dark almost black color reflecting his mood. He wears a blue bandana around his eyes to hone his senses of smell and hearing and improve his night vision, only removing it when the situation requires. His Inuzuka clan tattoo adorns the center of his chest in red ink, contrary to most of his clansmen who get them near the cheek bones. This is due to Kaikou's design being of his mothers house, of which he's somewhat reluctant to show, do to her reputation in the clan. Two shackles with broken chains hang around his wrists and feet, these have been with Kaikou since he can remember coming to the Leaf, although he's unsure of their true purpose other than he's been unable to remove them. He's general appearance hints of a casual carefree nature with not much emphasis put on personal looks, although this could be on purpose rather than just by accident, as its attention to function is evident at a closer glance. His trousers are dark gray and loose fitting and somewhat baggy to allow extra space in the cargo pockets. In contrast his shirt is dark blue and tight fitting with a high cut sleeve that's frayed at the edges but not torn. He commonly wears a dark gray collared jacket that's light but provides some warmth as Kaikou hates the cold.

Personality: Kaikou has an inner desire to always outdo and perform high that sometimes is overcome by his somewhat lazy or "It'll get done" nature. Luckily he is naturally talented and learns quickly. Once motivated he quickly loses interest in most things however he is intensely passionate about matters he considers close to him. He has a "Work smarter, not harder" mentality and is always trying to find an easier solution to his problems. Competitive and a bit cocky at times, although he's learned how to pick his fights and will often employ mischievous ways of getting what he wants, never taking no for an answer but simply looking for another way around. In a fight he's a unpredictable and isn't afraid to get hurt, willing putting himself in a dangerous situation to defeat his enemy.
Taiga is much more cautious and leery of people than his human counter part, this does not manifest itself as aggressiveness however. Taiga prefers to quietly keep an eye on strangers until they have proven themselves, good or bad. Peaceful, and quite however merciless and cold if a threat is apparent. Once trust is gained, Taiga is very loving and protective revealing a shepard like character. Making Taiga a vivid contrast to his masters nature, the two seem to complete each other. Taiga doesn't bark often, and has an almost seemingly telepathic connection with Kaikou, the two being able to read each other flawlessly.

History: Kaikou was raised by his mother till he was around 5 who was of the Inuzuka clan, however after having a falling out with the clan (the details of which Kaikou knows little of) she left the village to settle down in a harbor town near the sea. Kaikou was mysteriously abandoned at a young age, left in the hands of his aunt who still resided in the Leaf Village. With only a note to his mother's sister and a scarf bearing a strange insignia, young Kaikou stood in the archway of the Leaf Villages great entrance. His aunt took him into her "pack" as one of her own and has since had a relatively normal childhood despite his past. He remembers little of his home by the sea or his parents other than his faithful companion Taiga and recurring dreams, seemingly incoherent images of a dark room and a man wearing a bloodstained apron, pieces of a puzzle he has yet to put together.

Goals: Kaikou's overriding goal is to find out the reason behind the events of his childhood. To find his mother and ask why she left him.

Name: Taiga
Appearance:Taiga is Kaikou's canine childhood companion. Taiga's pelt has a light blue almost white color to it, with a thick mane and sharp features hinting at his wolfen lineage. Taiga moves with grace and agility. He's an adolescent around the same age as Kaikou, and stands at about Kaikou's waist. Wolf like in appearance he has a piercing gaze that hints of a keen intellect. His eyes are a deep blue.
Species:Wolf
Story:Taiga is the only concrete evidence of Kaikou's childhood, being given to Kaikou by his mother before she left. Taiga has since grown up with Kaikou and his aunt, always keeping an eye on Kaikou realizing his masters knack for mischief.
Special Characteristics:Taiga's eyes are rather intimidating when he's unfamiliar with the person. Much of his inner thoughts can be seen in his eyes despite his expressionless composure. Unlike most canine's Taiga has very sharp eyesight and an almost six since about the intentions of people.
